Welcome to the blogosphere. It's a strange and addictive place.
I like blogger and maintain a blog here. According to my counter at the bottom of the page I've had more than 200 people in the last 4 days -- but no one ever seems to comment on the Blogger blog. Or, if they do, it's rare and they were usually linked there by the News and Record.
My Livejournal blog, on the other hand -- that seems to get a terrific amount of traffic AND generate conversation. I think it's just because Livejournal allows you to create a "FRIENDS" list that makes an agregate of your favorite blogs. Not sure. Feels more community oriented but less professional. Soon I'm sure I'm going to be blogging at the News and Record's site - which has gotten coverage in the NY Times, The Boston Globe and Editor and publisher.
