Tattoo writers on the radio Wednesday

Tattoo writers will be among the teen journalists that WTIC-AM radio host Colin McEnroe plans to have on his show starting at 3 p.m. Wednesday. It's possible to listen live online here no matter where in the world you may be.
What are they going to talk about? Journalism. School. Life. Whatever. It'll be fun because McEnroe has a quick wit and a solid background in journalism. He still writes a column and a blog for The Hartford Courant.
If you can listen, do. And, hey, don't hesitate to call in, too!

The Tattoo will be rocking!

At least a few Tattoo writers are planning to attend a human rights rock concert in West Hartford Saturday afternoon, to write about it and to talk with students there about The Tattoo.
Jackie Majerus and Steve Collins, who run The Tattoo, will also be on hand to tout both The Tattoo and Youth Journalism International, a soon-to-be nonprofit that will kick all of this up a notch.
So stop by and say hey! We'll be at Webster Hall at the town hall in West Hartford, Connecticut from noon to 7 p.m., listening to great music for a good cause and talking about this wonderful thing we do.

Tattoo alum to cover higher education in North Carolina

Amanda Lehmert, one of our bright shining stars, is leaving the Cape Cod Times this month to begin reporting about higher education for the Greensboro News and Record. She's slated to begin there on Nov. 26 - just in time for the holidays.
We wish Lehmert lots of luck in her new position, where she'll be working with another great Tattoo alum, Joe (Wilbur) Killian.
Greensboro's gonna kick some ass.
